Hi! My name is Sapna, and I’m the founder of One World Tales. 

Every night as my husband and I tuck our two children into bed, we share stories from our childhood growing up in India. Despite being American-born and raised, they are captivated by tales of India—its vibrant traditions, festivals, cities, and layered histories. 

This personal, yet universal experience of chronicling identity made me realize the value of creating stories for children rooted in one’s history and culture, enabling a sense of personhood within a globalized world. I wanted my sons to take pride in their heritage, and it was then that I realized the need for stories representing diverse cultures, people, and regions. 

My vision is to create books where children, especially those living away from where their families originate, can connect with their roots through One World Tales’ rich offerings.
